What We're Building

You have the 3D Printer, so why not make your next RC project completely your own.

DISCLAIMER: This guide is still under heavy modification and more content will be added each and every day.

This guide will take you Step By Step through how to 3D print and build your own Mini-RC-Skidsteer AKA "the MINISKIDI". Throughout which you'll get hands on experience with DIY components such as an ESP32 development board that is programmable via the Arduino IDE, H-Bridges for controlling DC motors, and various other electrical components.

If you're building this from one of my kits everything will already be pre-soldered and the ESP32 will be pre-programmed. If you're sourcing all the parts yourself you'll need to flash the ESP32 dev board which goes a bit beyond the scope of this tutorial "Though there's lots of YouTube video's out there!".

As mentioned above this project was coded using the Arduino IDE and everything from the software to the physical files used to 3D print the MiniSkidi are opensource! Meaning you can directly take the STEP files for this project - drop them into your favorite CAD software and modify them to your hearts content, I encourage you to lean into the modification side of things and really make your MiniSkidi 1 of 1.

If you're not quite confident in your CAD skills or maybe you just want to test out some other peoples designs I highly recommend taking a scroll through some of the attachments the community has made. Some of my personal favorites include the trailer hauling attachment and treat dispenser created by "MuddyTrucking_448314" on printable's!
